1) the first skill i learned is how to use proper citations for my collected information. the second is creating blogs to interact with people on the web. the third skill is telling the difference from a trusted or a primary source and a scondary source.

2) i would have liked to spend more time learning about primary and secondary sources and also spending more time learning about the different citation formats such as the APA format.

3) it is extremely simple and straight forward not like other blogging sites such as blogger.

4) the worst thing about wordpress is that the writing font cannot be changed.

5) this is a very educating class and i think each student at AUC should go through it.

the name for the first database that i have used is the “Communication & Mass Media Complete (EBSCOhost)”. this specific database covers areas such as journalism and mass communication. it covers data collected from 1920 till now. it contains materials such as abstracts, articles from journals, books, conference proceedings, magazines and peridocals. it also contains author biographies, handbooks, book reviews, conference papers, editorials, interviews, letters, work analysis, encyclopedias and monographs all in communication and mass media. this database contains materials in languages such as english, german, french, italian, russian, magyar, polski, portugues, turkish, harvatski, arabic  and spanish. according to the search results, it seems that this database is not updated regularly, mainly updated monthly. this database is usable by any person who is enrolled in to the AUC with an AUC ID or any one on the AUC campus even visitors. finally this data base does contain some full-texts.

the second database is the global news bank. this database covers areas such as journalism and mass communication. it covers dates from 1966 till now. it contains materials such as articles that covers politics, world economy, history, culture, science, world health and enviroment, entertainment, and many other articles concerning the entire world, the middle east, africa, the americas and developed and developing countries. all the materials covered on this database are in english. this data base is updated daily. it is available off campus and full texts are available.

the database that appears easier to use is “the communication and mass media complete (ebsco host)” because first it has a search bar which helps the user to find his materials faster and be more specific. the database that is better for a specific search is “the communication and mass media complete (ebsco host)”. the database that is better for an indepth search is “the global newsbank”. i would use “the communication and mass media complete (ebsco host)” instead of “the global newsbank” if i want to look for a specific search or if i want to make a fast search. i wold use “the global newsbank” instead of the other if i want to make an indepth search about a heated topic or if i want to find a recent heated topic like the global financial crisis.
